Fill in the blank.. at little late, not so much Friday

It has been a while since I have done a Fill in the blank Friday care of the lovely Lauren at the Little Things We do.... But I am going to give it a whirl, but being that it is Sunday I will call it , Something about me Sunday!

1.   I am currently obsessed with       dollies. i want to craft like crazy with dollies. i am becoming an old lady, i know  .

2.  Today I am    le tired     because,    I was up late crafting, not with dollies but needle felting up sweet little mushroom for the kiddies   .

3.  The age I am is    29     and the age I feel is    well at the moment 39, I am SO tired, but most days I feel about 25, spry and all    .

4.  My favorite place is     Disneyland, it's the happiest place on earth! But really I love my home, more specific, my bed  .

5.  Something I have been procrastinating is     creating a bridal hair accessories collection for the spring in beautiful soft pastel colors  .

6.  The last thing I purchased was       two ball's of yarn..... Haven't decided what to make with them yet.

7.  The thing I love most about my home is       really everything. i love that it is in the country but 5 minutes away from anything that i could possible need. i love that i can sit in my hot tub and all i see is tree's, all i hear is bird's or should i say geese, i love all the character it has. i love everything about it....
Here is the link to my post when we first moved it    .

Here is a picture of what outside my window look like at this very moment.... SNOW!!!

I loves... Bunting and Etsy find's

So I am sitting here on a cozy, but COLD Sunday morning. Drinking my morning tea (- side note..... I have quit coffee. I know, what am I thinking?! Being a mother of three and not drinking coffee???? Ridiculous! Well it cost's a lot and it makes me feel like crap, so it took two week's to feel like I was not dying from lack of caffeine but now I am fine and actually wake up so much easier and earlier!)
Sunday morning is my Etsy- look and dream day. The kid's hang out in their pj's watching a show and I relax marvel in all the amazingly creative things people are making!
So here is my love list

Look at these!!! Can you here me faint with the sweetness overload?! This talented lady makes many different style's of beautiful handmade felted slipper's. Check out her shop.

I actually had the pleasure to meet this very creative craft lady, Marlo of The Naked Squirrel at my last craft fair. I was smitten on the spot! Here is her shop! I already took home a clutch and change purse at the fair. They make me smile every time I pull them out of my purse.

I just LOVE needle felted things. Aren't these so sweet?! Here is her shop! It must be the Waldorf lover in me, all the natural wool, made into something so whimsical and cute.
Ever year the kiddies and I collect acorn top's and make a batch of felted acorn's. I use the wet felting technique for the kid's and they have so much fun.
Here is my tutorial I made a while back that was featured on the fabulous Centsational Girl.

There is something about bunting that makes me weak in the knee's. I am over the moon in love with it! I can't seem to get enough of the sweet little flag's all over my house?!
Here are some Etsy ones that caught my eye. Some many different ways to have bunting around the house how can one choose?

I have found that I really like making a treasury on Etsy, kinda like what I just did above. It is so fun to make a "collection" with a theme and run with it. Here is my favorite one I just made.
Now I am so inspired to go create! Have a lovely rest of your weekend folk's!

A craft room

Since I spend SO MUCH TIME in my craft room, I had to make it pretty, inspiring and a place that I "wanted" to spend time in. It is still a work in progress with my every changing decorating, crafty moods. When I was away at a craft fair out of town, the hubby surprised me by painting and wallpapering my craft room(I picked them out and had them at home for so long, but I just didn't have to time to do it) What a special guy I have!
But so far I do love it! I feel very inspired to go in and sit and make something beautiful.
Take a peak! And of course I have a chandelier in my craft room, it brings my total in the house over 10! This is also a multi-purpose space, it can be used as a guest room with the couch being able to be a pull-out bed.

I love making little vingette's all over the room, like I would stage it at a craft fair. I have fun changing them up or being inspired by a vintage cup or an old clog?! I swear, inspiration comes in the funniest form's some times, but hey, I will take IT!
Here are some recent photo's that I took around the room. I love using old furniture, piece's from around the house in my craft fair's. My house is bare and ransacked right before a fair. I will use a typewritter, dresser, old shutter's, book's, teapots, teacup's, birdcages, old wooden ironing boards..... And Edward....(Side note- I do not take Edward out of the house, don't fret. He might be stolen!)

Some new style of key necklaces, with vintage lace, feather and fur details

A crafting mind never sleep's.... This is what I made late at night last week. Glitter covered clothes pin's.
I crept back into to bed covered in glitter and happy.

Hope you are all having beautiful sunny weather as I stare at this slush/rain/snow mixture falling from the sky.

A little bit of inspiration

Here is a little bit of inspiration for you all.
We have been hit with this super awesome flu/cold/knock you out for a week-deal, hence why I have been missing around here. So here is a bit of pick me up for us all!
Over Christmas my family and I watched "White Christmas" about 4 times, and each time we did I was in awe over the amazing talent of Vera Ellen. That lady could move like nobody's business, those leg's?! Goodness child!
So enjoy this little bit of her pure talent. I can only dream of being able to dance like that... But in the word's of the beautiful Audrey....

Resolution's...shmaybe...

I am one never to set myself up for disappointment, so I have in the past never done a New Year's resolution.
Quit smoking? Don't smoke...
Quit drinking? I don't drink that much and I have 3 kid's.... I NEED a glass of wine sometimes!!!
Work out more? Well yes that would be good.
Eat healthy? We already are gluten free and organic in the house so I am not going to go all out and eat only raw food's...
So here are my "shmaybe" resolution's.
* Craft more.
There is so much inspiration going around right now. Project Re-style over at "A Beautiful Mess" has got my creative wheel's a- turning in my head.
I did this great craft the other night with one of my old track and field t-shirt's.

I have been really inspired by a blogger friend, Lauren that is doing a great thing called the 30 day challenge. I think I may do one in Feb. -  28 days of crafting! Find fun, cool things to make, re-style, vamp up around the house!

*Wear more skirt's and dresses. (preferably with my beloved Hunter gumboot's)
I am trying to thrift shop more girly dresses and skirt's. i just adore the old 40's-50's dress silhouette's. Yes, I am a house wife, I might as well look like one!
That is all...
No, wait.
*I am going to go through the house and pull a MAJOR spring cleaning NOW. Once a week I am going through each room of the house and de-clutter the room. Clean it up realllly nice and put thing's in 3 type pile's . Keep, trash, donate. Like they do on those TV show's for hoarder's, but I am not a hoarder, I swear!

I feel the house is in need of a good de-clutter. With the 3 little ones and all their "stuff" around I am losing my mental focus of having a clean and clutter free space. They have to many toy's and I want to downsize to just the beautiful, the handmade, the wooden or natural toy's. Toy's that inspire them with creative play. I am so very inspired by Bluebirdbaby and her beautiful and simple waldorf inspired living.
I am not perfect either, I need to go through my "stuff" too.
So this month I am hosting a clothing swap with a bunch of girlfriend's. Getting rid of all the clothes that I don't fit/want and letting a lovely lady get more use out of it! I am really excited to tackle my closet. Well, not really. I am dreading it and have procrastinated enough, BUT I know I will be so happy after!

Oh, I forgot to share a random piece of picture information of the day!
For my Christmas present Neal/hubby did a good old job trading with the antique store owner and surprised me Christmas morn with this beauty!

It is a old railway cart, that is now gracing my living room as a coffee table! I LOVE it. It suit's the country charm that I got going on in the house. Such a sweet hubby I have.

That is all for real. I am off to tackle the closet of DOOM.
PS....
I made new button's for you to put on your blog, to show your LYB love!

New Year's, new blog!

So I had decided to retire Mad Times and blog fully on this little blog!
It will still has my amazing wit, rambling's, wise thought's and lighting bolt moments... Don't fret, I will not bombard you with cheese.
So I will kick off the New Year showing and sharing how it spent New Years eve!
I love theme parties, so this one was going to be the black and white "American in Paris"!!!

These were the delicious drink's we were drinking all night long... Champagne lemon Yumminess from Rachel Ray.

Ingredients

  • 4 scoops lemon sorbet
  • 2 ounces chilled vodka, citrus vodka or limoncello (Italian lemon liqueur)
  • 2 ounces prosecco or other sparkling wine or Champagne
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint

Directions

Blend lemon sorbet on low speed and pour in vodka or lemon liqueur in a slow stream. Add prosecco or Champagne. Pour cocktails into a chilled martini glass and serve, garnished with a sprig of mint.

The end of the "kiddies" countdown at 9pm. They reallllly liked the horn's.
Yeah, London didn't go the bed for a long while. Look at those crazed eyes?! Full of sparkling apple juice. Evil juice....
